Fresh, Playful Read-Throughs of the Works!
Join us for one of our “First Reads” and hear the Villeins read one of Shakespeare’s plays through.
Before diving into a play with our PLUMMET study group or dissecting it for a VILLEINS VERSION, we host a fun, informal reading. A small group of VILLEINS takes on all the characters, preparing individually, in advance, and bringing it all together for the first time for the FIRST READ.
The process engenders a freshness and a spirit of discovery that invigorates the plays, the players, and the audience.

Our Shortened, Versions of the Works!
Like waching a YouTube explainer in real life, these shortened versions of Shakespeare’s works walk you through the selected play, connecting “greatest hits” and “deep cut” scenes with summaries and explanations that entertain as much as they educate and leave you wanting more.
Here we bring together the insights gained along the journey of study that begins with our FIRST READS and develops as part of our PLUMMET study group.
